OUR STORY

Foam Theory takes its name from Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, who, according to mythology, emerged from the sea on a crest of foam. It is a story of beauty born from the ocean - a fitting origin for a brand inspired by femininity, movement, and the enduring pull of places that stay with us long after we've left them.

My own story with swimwear began in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro.

I tried on a swimsuit that changed the way I saw my body. The cut was intentional and the silhouette was thoughtfully considered. Standing in that fitting room, I remember wondering why I had never felt this way before. It was the first time I realized how rarely clothing is truly designed with a woman's form in mind.

Every piece begins with the silhouette: how it frames the body, where it supports, where it softens, and where it allows movement. We refine each design until nothing feels forced. Our design are flattering without effort and structured without restriction.

Each collection is inspired by a destination, a memory, a feeling, or a moment in time. Some are drawn from places we've been, others from places we're still dreaming about. Together, they tell a story of nostalgia, discovery, and the experiences that shape us.
